Saturday, December 22, 2007 This day was filled with
Ashland Basketball History! It began in the afternoon with two Arrow
Alumni Games and then stretched into the evening with the 100th season
celebration of Ashland High School Arrow Basketball as the Arrows
faced off against the Willard Flashes. Douting throw-back uniforms,
the Arrows played a tough game against the Flashes. Although they
couldn't pull out a win, they gave the Arrow faithful a spectacular
game of basketball to watch. One lucky fan even had a shot at $5,000
half-court shot, courtesy of the Linway Launch (sponsored by the Linway
Restaurant). Special thanks goes out to all Alumni and coaches who
helped make this day a great way to honor a Century of Arrow Basketball. The profits from the sale of the action photographs by Black and White Services will be donated to the Mark Hamilton Fund. I was honored to have Dr. Mark Hamilton as my philosophy professor during my undergrad years at Ashland University and am proud to donate these profits towards his medical costs.
